As the Creative Director for the Mountain Dew x GIRL Skateboards Capsule Collection project, I faced unique challenges in embodying the energy and essence of the brands while ensuring extensive product availability and impactful outreach. My creative directorship was integral in the formulation and execution of multiple strategies, from product creation to media support and site takeovers.
I developed a 4-piece capsule collection comprising of a Pro Model skateboard, tee, camp hat, and wallet. The collection emerged as more than merchandise; it was a synthesis of Mountain Dew’s vibrancy, GIRL Skateboards' skateboarding spirit, artist Kevin Lyons' creativity, and Sean Malto's professional influence.
To ensure extensive distribution, I formulated a strategic plan that leveraged GIRL's sales network and prominent online platforms like The Berrics.com. The outcome was widespread availability across renowned retailers nationwide.
In a world where every click matters, I created dynamic media ads and online banners to draw significant attention and generated prominent site takeovers on TheBerrics.com and Green-Label.com. The strategic use of media, a testament to my creative directorial acumen, resulted in targeted awareness and amplified the scope of the collaboration.
One of the significant highlights of my directorship was the incorporation of the collaboration skateboard into Mountain Dew's global 'Do the Dew' Commercial, featuring Sean Malto. This strategic move significantly boosted the capsule collection's visibility, further invigorating the market.
The successful delivery of this distinctive collaboration stands as a testament to my versatile role as a Creative Director.
