Most people would have leaned on The Roots. I built Questlove an identity that stood on its own.

Questlove needed a DJ brand distinct from the band that made him famous, without throwing away the cultural weight that came with it.

I built the identity on the two things instantly his, the silhouette and the question mark, into a "?uestlove" wordmark and a visual system that scaled from a laptop sticker to a global stage.

The result was a DJ identity recognized on its own terms, consistent from local flyers to international campaigns.

Legacy is a starting line, not a crutch. The strongest personal brands extend recognition rather than hide behind it.
